
East Africa Continental Award
We are proud to announce that Maasai Eunoto has been awarded the East Africa Continental Award in the short documentary category. The film was screened at the DjârFogo International Film Festival (DIFF) in Cape Verde, Nov 6th to 13th 2025.
The DjârFogo International Film Festival (DIFF) is an independent cultural institution dedicated to elevating African and Diaspora cinema. Founded in 2019 by award-winning filmmaker and film/media professor Guenny K. Pires, together with members of Txan Film Productions & Visual Arts, DIFF has grown into a global platform for cinematic freedom, creative education, and cultural exchange.

Mission: Rooted in the volcanic soil of Fogo, Cabo Verde, and headquartered between Los Angeles and the Cape Verde Islands, DIFF connects artists, scholars, and communities across continents. Their mission is to amplify Black narratives, empower emerging filmmakers, and champion the originality, memory, and imagination of Pan-African and Diaspora culture.
